Grand slam
Normal grand slam
I define a normal grand slam in the Tour de France as obtaining four goals:
- Winning a stage.
- Leading the general classification.
- Leading the points classification.
- Leading the mountain classification.
Of course this only became possible after the introduction of the points classification in 1953.

Super grand slam
I define a super grand slam as getting a normal grand slam, plus leading the young rider classification.
Of course this only became possible after the introduction of the young rider classification in 1975, I decided not to include its precursors here.

And how many riders miss only a stage victory for the super grand slam?

Giro d'Italia
In the Giro d'Italia, the three main classifications have been the same as in the Tour de France in most years, but the fourth classification has differed. The intermediate sprints classification (traguardi tricolore) has given a jersey until 1980, and the FIAT classification in 1981, then the neo-prof classification, in 1988 the combination classification, then the intergiro was the most significant, then in 2006 again the combination classification, and from 2007 on the young rider classification. A super grand slam for the Giro can be defined as leading the three main classification plus the fourth classification as described above.

Vuelta a España
In the Vuelta, the intermediate sprints classification was the most important fourth classification until 2001. Then it became the combination classification, and from 2019 on the young rider classification. A super grand slam with the fourth classification as just defined gave a super grand slam to the following riders:
| Rider | Stage victories | General classification | Points classification | Mountain classification | Fourth classification |

| M. Pacheco | 2 | 2 | 1 | 19 | 1 |
| D. Perurena | 12 | 28 | 27 | 11 | 14 |
