Double

Some riders have done the "double": they won two Grand Tours in one season. Below is a list of riders that came closest in each year to win a double. T+G stands for the double Tour+Giro, T+V for the double Tour+Vuelta and G+V for the double Giro+Vuelta. The number indicates the sum of the two ranks in the general classifications, so if they won two races the number will be 2.
