Below is, per Grand Tour, the highest placed rider (in the general classification), for which I am not fully sure that he is no longer alive. (In practice this is almost the same as the highest ranked rider who is still alive.)
Because it would be very complex to deal with exceptions, I use the original result of each Grand Tour, so without retro-active disqualification.
